Turning health data into knowledge

The aim of the CCHA is to use routine medical data from pediatric medicine to gain new insights. These will lead to an improvement in the treatment of children and adolescents. We support specialists at the Children's Hospital of Central Switzerland in extracting data from the Epic system introduced in 2019 and rely on our data analysts. They make it possible to identify and organize relevant data and make it usable for doctors, nurses and therapists at KidZ. In this way, we create new knowledge from data points in Epic that has a direct impact on the health of children in Central Switzerland.

Research with routine data

We support specialists at the Children's Hospital of Central Switzerland with data extraction, data analysis and data visualization from Epic for their research projects. This also applies to master's theses and doctorates that involve research with routine data.

Key figures for innovations

We provide key figures from Epic on new therapeutic approaches that are in use at the Children's Hospital of Central Switzerland and thus create robust evidence for new treatments.

New registries in LUKiS

We support specialists in creating a new register in our Epic-based software LUKiS. The registers can be used to identify patterns in the data sets in order to quickly recognize symptoms and diseases and adapt treatment forms individually.

Trainings and workshops

Our trainings and workshops are aimed at all professionals in pediatrics. Participants improve their data literacy and learn how to analyze data themselves using the integrated Epic tools. In our consultation hours, specialists also receive support in working on their own questions in their subject area.
