Research symposium by Health Cluster Central Switzerland
The CCHA attended this year's research symposium
The CCHA team had the pleasure of participating and diving into a wide range of fascinating sessions at the research symposium organized by the University of Lucerne, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the XUND Bildung Gesundheit Zentralschweiz.
In a diverse program, our team split up and we attended sessions about advances in pedatric medicine including the use of POCUS for arm fractures presented by David Troxler, explored the relationship between the microbiome and sleep with the NapBiome study from our colleague Petra Zimmermann and her research group and also had insights into topics that are usually quite far away from us – like the use of AI in self-management for paraplegic patients, the effect of SES on health awareness in young adults or the spatial distribution of AEDs in Switzerland.
It was energizing to see such interdisciplinary research happending at the Fakultät für Gesundheitswissenschaften und Medizin – Universität Luzern and to exchange ideas with researchers who are shaping the future of healthcare. A big thank you to the organizing committee, Stefan Boes and Gabriela Scherer and many more for hosting this wonderful event every year.
We hope that next year, we can present a highlight of our completed projects and will be able to share first results of our innovation stream.
